My daily must do’s….

Two cups of black tea before heading out the door in the morning. Focus on kids, try and start slow. Mental to-do list and quick priority schedule for the day. Most of the time in my head, when feeling stressed I have to write it down. Exercise, usually tennis, basketball or pilates. Recently I have been doing 10 minutes of ‘mindfulness’ to slow down the racing mind and live in the moment. Sitting cross-legged with fingers resting on the knee does not do it for me, my mind races; I have to find something in nature to stare at. Last week I followed one bird on the beach, at the end of the 10 minutes it dived into the ocean and came out with a fish. Awesome!

Something on your bucket list…

40 things before 40 (I won’t bore you with the list). Main item that’s been there for years. Ski in deep powder snow in Japan.

Can’t live without make up/beauty products…

Concealer, bronzer and mascara. Pawpaw ointment.

A strength of mine…

Coming up with ideas and bringing great people and like-minds together.

I always avoid…

Pointless conversation. Group conversations where the topic is about other people.

Fav Insta/Twitter account you follow?

National Geographic.

What advice would you tell your 18 year old self…

What you think they are thinking, they are not. The power of the mind is everything. Lastly, you don’t need to know what you want to do at 18. Life is about experiences and finding your feet along the way, enjoy the ride and always go with your gut instinct, being what makes your heart sing and feet do the happy dance.

Recipe for success – Your 3 main ingredients?

Have a great tribe of people around you. Not necessarily the nice ones, the ones that tell you the truth, tell you how it is and give you kicks up the bum when needed.

Stay fit and well. Constantly spend time in nature. Always add a little adrenalin in your life, keeps you ticking and on your toes.

Listen to yourself most importantly. Try as many new things as you like, don’t be afraid to move on from something that doesn’t feel right and challenge yourself.

Your personal indulgence or obsession?

Cinnamon doughnuts.

What’s the best piece of advice you have ever received?

Move on from people whose negative energy way you down. In business and personally.

Your game changing moment?

Quitting a big career against all advice. And I mean everyone’s. And just doing what felt right and true to me. Then all of a sudden magic happened everywhere.

Books on your nightstand?

Best one at the moment ‘An Astronaut’s Guide to Life on Earth’ by Chris Hadfield

Other business books, ones that challenge thought not books that go on and on about others success.

Biggest myth about success busted…

People see the success, not all the hard work around it. Takes commitment, passion and the confidence to make many mistakes before you see profit. You don’t switch on an online business and next day high five the bank!

A secret about my journey to share…

I have had 2 corporate careers and two businesses all in different industries before I found what I really wanted to do. Launching that one in 3 months…. More on that later!
